Dr. Kenneth Kalthoff
Dr. Kalthoff graduated with honors, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Science in 1984 from the University of Idaho. He then attended Washington State University where he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. While attending Washington State University, Dr. Kalthoff participated in an advanced training program in emergency medicine and critical care. Upon graduation, Dr. Kalthoff continued to work in the field of emergency medicine and critical care, first in Longview Washington, and then when he moved to Southern California. He managed an emergency clinic in Orange County for five years and then worked for four years at an advanced veterinary diagnostic and treatment facility in Fountain Valley before entering private practice. Dr. Kalthoff met his wife Angela while working in Longview, Washington. They have two children. They share their home with two dogs, Amidala and Chuck, a cat, Princess, and a parrot, Java. The Kalthoff’s enjoy skiing, golfing, and other outdoor sports. Their other pastimes include cooking and wine tasting. Dr. Kalthoff volunteers his time at the Maritime Museum of San Diego where he helps to maintain and sail the historic tall ships. As a crew member on the ship “Surprise” he has appeared in several television commercials and the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean on Stranger Tides.”
Dr. Amber Vibert
Dr. Vibert graduated magna cum laude from Fairfield University in Connecticut, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1998. She obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University in 2006. Upon graduation, she moved to California and completed a rigorous internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San Diego. Dr. Vibert’s enthusiasm for emergency medicine lead her to a position with California Veterinary Specialists (in Murrieta and Carlsbad) where she was the overnight emergency and critical care veterinarian for over three and a half years. Her special interests include client education, critical care of the trauma patient, ultrasonography and anesthesia. She and her husband, Todd were married in October, 2010. They share their home with Roxy, their loving and vibrant 12 year old dog, Vegas, their cat that looks like a mouse and George, their handsome orange tabby who never fails to wake them at 6 o’clock in the morning. In her spare time, Dr. Vibert enjoys running, Bikram yoga, cooking and learning to play the bass guitar.
Dr. Oren Drelich
Dr. Drelich was raised in South Florida and completed a bachelor’s degree at the University of California at Berkeley. He earned a Master’s degree in Wildlife Health at the University of Sydney before returning to California for veterinary school at the University of California at Davis. After earning his D.V.M., he completed a medical and surgical internship at the Animal Surgical and Emergency Center in Los Angeles, CA. His professional interests include radiology, ultrasound, and internal medicine. Dr. Drelich enjoys basketball, golf, traveling, and spending time with his wife and family. He shares his house with two animated dogs, two bossy cats, and a spirited Bearded Dragon.
